Illness!
Well, the bug that's been going around finally hit me. At least it is with 9 weeks left in my training program. I've been sick the past two days, and will likely miss at least 2 runs. Hopefully, I'll be back in running shape by Thursday or Friday. If I'm back in shape by Thursday, I'll try to get in 26 miles this week. If it takes until Friday, I'll only get in 19 miles.

Bill, this is your cousin Brian. I was going through my favorites and came across your blog, so I decided to click to view. Wow! taking the plunge and doing the full marathon, huh...I knew it was just a matter of time. You got the bug just like me :). Good luck with your training. I did the same HH novice training plan for the Chicago Marathon last year. It's a great plan to follow.
not intending to "one-up" you or anything, but wanted to let you know that i'm planning to run 6 marathons this year, which are training runs for my finale 50-mile ultra marathon at the end of October.
In addition to the Chicago marathon on 10/7, some that i'm thinking about doing are Leadville, Co marathon on 7/7, San Francisco on 7/29, Lake Tahoe late Sept, as well as a couple local state ones between July and October. I hope I can stay healthy this year. Take care
